Pennsylvania Active and Isolated Stretching

Active and Isolated Stretching

Nov 9 - 10 Instructor: Ben Dillard
As a massage therapist, it is likely that you have heard of active and isolated resistance stretching. However, you may be unsure of what these terms mean or the techniques involved. This form of therapy is rooted in the knowledge of the organic nature of muscular flexibility, and incorporates active and passive stretching techniques combined with static-active and static-passive stretching, compression, extension, movement, and breath. Incorporating these techniques into your daily practice will allow you to work smarter not harder, and will provide your client relief by improving their flexibility, breaking up scar tissue, and relieving chronic pain. Your instructor, will provide you with in-depth information on active and isolated resistance stretching techniques that will allow you to assess, target, and correct the client's imbalances and issues, whatever they may be.
Students should bring a massage table.

Registration will begin at 7:45am each day. Class on each day starts at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm with one hour for lunch (on your own) and two scheduled breaks.
