About the Course

This course presents many of the primary concepts in nursing care when women are diagnosed with malignancies. The reproductive organ cancers presented include breast, ovarian, uterine, and cervical cancers. Information about each of these cancers includes an overview of the epidemiology of the cancer, risk factors, risk assessment, prevention and detection strategies, diagnosis, staging, and treatment modalities.

  • Discuss the epidemiology, risk factors, prevention and detection strategies, common staging schemas, and treatment options for breast cancer in women.
  • Discuss the epidemiology, risk factors, prevention and detection strategies, common staging schemas, and treatment options for endometrial cancer.
  • Discuss the epidemiology, risk factors, prevention and detection strategies, common staging schemas, and treatment options for ovarian cancer.
  • Discuss the epidemiology, risk factors, prevention and detection strategies, and treatment options for cervical cancer.
