About the Author

Leanna Marchand, RN, BSN, JD, is a founding partner in Marchand & Rossi, LLP, in Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Marchand practices healthcare law and civil litigation and earned her bachelor of science in nursing from Texas Woman’s University and her law degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University School of Law. Mrs. Marchand is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the American Association of Nurse Attorneys, serves as an expert advisor to several committees of the Texas Nurses Association, and has a special interest in the prevention and treatment of HIV/AIDS. Mrs. Marchand also serves on the Board of Directors of the Team Connor Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Adaptation author: Amanda Olson, DPT, PRPC, is a certified pelvic floor physical therapist practicing at a hospital-based outpatient clinic. She earned her bachelor of science degree from Pacific University, and doctorate in physical therapy from Regis University. She has been practicing physical therapy since 2008. She is certified in treatment of the pelvic floor (CAPP-PF certification) by the American Physical Therapy Association and is a pelvic rehabilitation practitioner (PRP certification) by the Herman and Wallace Institute. She is also certified in the STOTT method of Pilates and incorporates these methods into teaching and patient management.
