You need 40 hours total for each renewal cycle, which is every 2 years. You must complete at least 20 hours of continuing education per year: 5 hours in a live setting; 2 hours in pharmacy law (can be non-live); 1 if you engage in or oversee immunization activities; 5 hours if you engage in or oversee the practice of sterile compounding; 3 hours if you engage in or oversee practice of complex non-sterile compounding; 5 additional hours if you engage in a collaborative practice agreement.
