Marko Appointed Assistant Professor at Clarkson University

Moshe Marko has been appointed assistant professor of physical therapy at Clarkson University.

Marko received his bachelor of physiotherapy degree from University of Tel-Aviv, his master of health science degree from Washington University-College, his doctor of physical therapy from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions and his Ph.D. from Syracuse University.

Marko is a board-certified orthopedic physical therapy specialist and a board-certified strength and conditioning specialist. He is a member of the American National Strength & Conditioning Association.

Before coming to this position at Clarkson, he was an adjunct professor in the School of Allied Health Professions, Department of Physical Therapy at Ariel University, Israel. From 2003-2012, he was clinical assistant professor in the College of Health Professions, Department of Physical Therapy Education at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He also was assistant professor of physical therapy at Utica College of Syracuse University.

His teaching expertise includes geriatrics, kinesiology, physical modalities, wellness and prevention, applied clinical decision making, movement analysis, patient/client management regarding the spine and the physiology of exercise. Marko also has extensive experience as a physical therapist, and is the owner of two physical therapy out-patient clinics in the towns of Ra’Anana and Tiberias, Israel. He has worked as a physical therapist in Israel and the United States in settings that range from nursing homes and rehab clinics, to out-patient clinics and home care.

Marko received the Robert S. Salant Award for best research in New York. He was awarded numerous research grants during his time at Syracuse University and SUNY Upstate Medical Center.

Tidewater Acquires Clinical Director and Senior Physical Therapist

CENTREVILLE – Tidewater Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Associates P.A. recently announced Matthew Greene, DPT, CLT, has joined their staff as clinical director and senior physical therapist at their Centreville location.

Greene received his doctor of physical therapy from The University of Maryland Eastern Shore and his bachelor of science in kinesiology from The University of Maryland College Park. Greene also has a certification in Lymphedema Therapy (CLT), and received his Medical Level 1 certification as a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Fitness Golf Professional.

“We are very excited to have Matt join us at our Centreville location. He is already proving himself to being a vital member of our team, and we cannot wait for our patients to get know him as well as his physical therapy talents,” said Jennifer Walter, COO and CFO of Tidewater Physical Therapy.

Greene’s interests include orthopedics, balance and gait and working in several aspects of therapy from acute care, home health and outpatient settings. Being a TPI Certified Fitness Golf Professional, Greene also specializes in the concept “Body-Swing Connection,” which is the understanding of how the body functions during the golf swing. During the certification process, Greene said he learned to quickly identify physical limitations that may be causing a player’s swing inefficiencies.

O’Laughlin Joins Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance

NORWELL, QUINCY AND SCITUATE, MA – Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance, a South Shore practice specializing in unique programs that provide holistic treatment in orthopedic, spine and sports medicine specialties, announces that Maria O’Laughlin has joined Scituate clinic as a physical therapist.

A resident of Hingham, O’Laughlin has been a physical therapist for more than 27 years. She is a graduate of Boston University and brings a tremendous knowledge base to the team with a wide variety of manual therapy and exercise-based skills. She excels in the treatment of back and neck disorders. She has also been a community expert in assessing work ergonomics and designing modifications to prevent occupational injuries.

“We are pleased to welcome Maria to our staff,” said Eric Edelman, PT, owner of Peak Physical Therapy & Sports Performance. “Maria brings extensive experience in back and neck treatments and will join our clinicians in treating patients for injury and then work with them to prevent further injuries, as well as improve performance.”

AlterG Announces Appointment of New CEO
