Unique summer camp for kids with autism, dysphagia intervention, veterans and tinnitus, hearing aid advances and more.
While there’s no doubt home and family are central to a child’s development, the stability afforded by a supportive community can likewise have a substantial positive impact.
This is perhaps best demonstrated among children with special needs, such as those on the autism spectrum.
Every summer, SLPs and volunteers work at Camp Yakety Yak in Oregon to provide exactly that sort of healthy, helpful place, not just for children with special needs, but their family and friends as well.
